United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Firenze Red

Mine played up last year - went into limp home mode without any previous warning of an issue- various codes indicating possible EGR problems, so was expecting to have to replace something at least.
Cleared all the error codes - did a battery reset and much to my surprise the problem has not reoccurred and the car drives fine. I have no explanation for what occurred. Jules

I may have found a culprit, definitely a starting point

Split hose from the throttle body to intercooler

So I’ll start there🤔
