As rover60 says you just knock it over from Auto into the manual position at which point the display (Odometer area) will show Auto Sport, now don't push the stick up or down or you'll go into manual mode which is indicated on the display by the gear number being displayed.

Dont use sport mode in the city, doesnt drive very well. But on long drives and corners, works very well. Reduces the lag
