Why did you have to remove that? My drain plug is accessible by just taking the metal under tray off. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Absolutely, but I managed to soak cover whilst draining because of vehicle being on ramps at front so needed to remove to wash properly.

I think I'd be inclined to leave it off. I can't imagine it's making a massive difference in noise levels? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

You’re right,I’ve been running around for last few days without it and there is no discernible noise increase. I personally think it’s there to keep engine oil warm for as long as possible between start ups. |
