Check the 'Earth' wires on your towbar electrics. Sounds as if the Earth is not making contact and finding a 'least -resistance' path though all bulbs/LEDs. |

If the Transit is a lot younger it may well be that the FL2 cannot handle the feedback signals from the LED packs, just like some LED bulbs need a resistor to work and not throw faults up in the vehicle, the Transit might be able to handle LED easier. Regards

I am pretty you can buy a “tow bar checker” which plugs into the socket, or just try another (conventional bulbs) tow board. Regards David Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me...... Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again...... |

The problem of LED trailer lights is well known amongst the caravanning fraternity - older car and new caravan... I believe the cure is some sort of load resistor to make your car think the LEDs are incandescent bulbs or perhaps canbus friendly LED bulbs.

as above then it sounds definitely like it’s the LED packs not giving the correct resistance signal back to the vehicle. Regards David Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me...... Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again...... |

Thinking about it what some bright spark (no pun intended) needs to do is design a male/female plug extender which incorporates a resistive load within, just a matter of inserting between vehicle and board lead then.
