My guess is if you don’t do a forced regeneration very soon the car will go into limp mode. |

If you do a forced regen, I think you have to do a full oil change afterwards as the engine oil will become diluted this diesel. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

I did that two weeks ago, when tried to do the manual procedure for full dpf on the road, then after ....visit dealer, forced regeneration did not worked, cleaned the DPF which was not very clogged. I've discovered the hose from the exit of the DPF to the differential pressure sensor broken. Code: number of regeneration implausible. Cleand DPF as I mentioned above, verified differential pressure sensor, OK, calibrated the sensor, "new PDF " set on computer. Changed oil. All good but last night when FULL DPF" came back. Delphi tester cannot show when last regeneration was made, only error code P2459- "Diesel particle filter regeneration frequency" - permanent. Late edit: after 20 km, "Visit Dealer" onboard. Delphi shows 30 grams of soot. I dont know if this is real. How can he weight the DPF filter with such accuracy ? Only by checking the differential pressure with a soot accumulation table written somewhere in a memory. If the differential sensor gives wrong pressure numbers aka it is no more calibrated ? Or, the voltage value at the sensor output arrive at the ECM slightly different due to some unwanted resistence on the path ? Or the 30 gr form Delphi tester is bulLshit reading?

There are DPF cleaning companies in the UK. You must also have them in Romania? |

Yes, we have some. Ideea is that it was cleaned and after 300 km problem is back. No way that the DPF is clogged. No code for dif pres sensor. |

Well, it seems that the DPF is OK. There are some other issues to look for. |

Today test drive with real time data recorder. Differential pressure sensor, temperature sensors, EGR and mass airflow. All seems ok Soot raise from 2,5 gr to 4,5gr/m3 in ten minutes ride.. I dont know how to record these data when forced regeneration is ON. I did a forced reg in the afternoon with another tester. At the beginig, 7.8 gr soot at the end, 9,1 gr, after 80 km on constant speed over 60 km/h. Regeneration failed. |
