I’ve bought a cheap set of genuine LR roof bars. The previous owner had cut the rubber to fit a bike rack but forgot to keep the bits. I’m happy enough to tape it to stop them whistling but wondered if anyone knew if I could get new rubber strips for it? I think the roof bars are made by Thule for Land Rover and you can get spares for about £20 but wanted to make sure before I bought some?

On the under side it says Volvo on the rubber. But it's most likely still made by someone else.

I have a couple of 40mm long stainless steel plates slide into the slot & cut the rubber hooks off the bottom 40mm long. So when the rubber is back in place the missing 40mm section underneath is short enough not to affect the top. The only giveaway is the hole in the top for an M6 bolt. Even the hole is a bit tight so looks more like 5mm. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
