New Car WRONG Colour !!

My sister changes her car every two years. Always buys from the same dealership.
Current car is a Toyota Yaris Hybrid. She ordered a NEW Toyota Yaris Hybrid, although slightly different styling and features.

Dealer informs her her new car has arrived. When she goes to collect it, it's the WRONG colour. She ordered it in Grey dealership delivered her a bright blue car. Right model ..... wrong colour.

How does that happen ??

I should know the answer, as my brother, two years ago ordered a brand new Audi 2.0 litre, car arrived as an 1.8 litre.

Further my sister went to insure her new car with her insurer, which she has always used, Aviva, who declined to insure the car ?? claiming it was a '0' or zero group vehicle. (What ever that means ?)

Any help, please.

I would suggest main dealers don't check very much, I know of a Vectra that had a PDI signed off, looked like a petrol rev counter showed max at 7krpm fuel cap was diesel as was the warning. Diesel only, actually was a petrol so not only dealers but factory's as .well my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

When I ordered a second spare wheel from LR for the outback, & I sent them a photograph of the rim, they sent me the wrong rim. Eventually the correct one turned up.

It is surprising that the steering wheel is on the correct side when you collect a new car! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Probably just means that model has not been given a grouping yet, was it close to launch? Regards
