I have read on here that you cannot get live data for the Freelander. Not sure if that is true but I cannot find it in SDD, therefore could be true. As I have had starting issues with my car for some time with no related codes I have tried an Autel AP200 scanner.
This also shows no codes, however it does give access to live data but I do not know if this is reliable.
This is some of the information I have with the engine off and cold, 9 deg. C outside temperature

MAF sensor frequency 777 Hz Range 600 - 800 Hz
Engine coolant temp sensor voltage 3.58v Range 2 - 4v
EGR valve position sensor voltage 4.09v Range 3 - 5v
Intake air temp sensor voltage 3.91v Range 2 - 4v
Engine oil temp 286 deg. C Range 200 - 300 deg. C
Lambda value 10 Range 0 - 20
Engine coolant temp. 12 deg. C
MAP sensor 101 kpa Range 0 - 200 kpa
Air intake temp 12 deg. C
MAF sensor 225 g/s Range 100 - 300
Fuel rail pressure 0
Barometric pressure 100 kpa


Engine at idle for a couple of minutes these are the values.

MAF frequency running between 4388 - 4450 Hz
Coolant temp. sensor voltage 1.8v
EGR valve position sensor voltage 4.00v
Intake temp. sensor voltage 3.86v
Engine oil temp. 315 deg. C
Lambda value 10
Engine coolant temp. 45 deg. C
MAP sensor 102kpa
Air intake temp 12 deg. C
Fuel rail pressure 25150 kpa

Some of these readings make no sense, such as engine oil temp. 286 deg. C when the engine is cold, unless there is a faulty sensor. If this is the case it could be part of my starting issues as the the engine would be getting the wrong air/fuel mixture when cold, hence long cranking before start up.

Would appreciate anyone's interpretation of the above readings.

Most of those readings look ok, except the crazy oil temperature.
The Discovery 3 suffers strange running and starting issues, which can often be traced to a faulty oil temperature sensor. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

I am sure the gap tool gives live data readings

The engine oil temperature sensor is to the right of the oil dipstick tube.

Apart from the oil temperature sensor reading does the rest look ok.

As some of the readings are voltage and others in Hertz I have no idea if they are correct. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

Really appreciate you taking the time to take the readings.
Most of them appear to mirror mine except for the fuel rail pressure and the oil temperature.
If my readings are correct then the oil temperature sensor is duff.
I am curious about the fuel rail pressure though. With the engine off mine is at zero. Start cranking and it builds full pressure within a second. Yours appears to have some pressure with the engine off.

I graphed the startup of the Fuel Rail Pressure. it was 240 KPa again whilst cold.

Though it might be useful to add shutdown image as well. Pressure seems to drop immediately back down to 240Kpa.

That's interesting shiggsy.

I don't have the benefit of a scope just information from a scan tool. Mine shows 0 kpa when the engine is off but hits approximately 25150 kpa within one second of the engine cranking. Injectors start to fire at about two seconds.
Unless someone can tell me otherwise, I would assume that was acceptable.

On shutdown the pressure control valve on the fuel rail end is used to progressively collapse fuel rail pressure.
