United States 2008 LR2 i6 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
LR Headrest DVD

Hi All.

I've found a good deal on the factory headrest DVD system ($500 US)

I understand that it has it's limitations, but I like the idea that the headrests were built with screens instead of a retrofit.

Anyway, does anyone know if original rear seat audio controls are required? I have an 08 HSE the standard audio (US) setup with a sunglass holder and coin tray at the rear of the console.

The directions for install require you to modify the console to relocate the existing ones to the top of the console. Will it work without them using only the remote provided??

Thanks.

United Kingdom

the LR rear entertainment system in the UK is just Screens, headphones and a module that allows you to plug in 'your own' dvd player, (it does not inc a dvd player with the system Confused )

you'll most likley get a better system with inbuilt screens, TV, DVD, Games if your paying full price Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Us version is just the tvs pre-built in to the headrest. The module and headphones. I don't have the audio connectivity module either. When it explains how to relocate those, just skip those steps. There should end up being an extra piece when you get done as you don't have the audio connectivity module. The only thing the tvs require from your car are power. They don't connect to the radio or anything else in any way.
