I see it is without the rear ladder ??

Think I am correct in saying this was built for the Challenge ........ that was then cancelled.

Land Rover sold these 'Challenge vehicles' through their Dealer Network and all components that could effect the warranty of the vehicle were removed. As Mantec, a manufacture/supplier to JLR, who made the ladder, this item could not stand the most heaviest of owners.

I knew a lady who bought one from a dealer, which was used as a 'reckie' vehicle. When she put a booster seat in the back and sat her bonny baby in it the 'red dust' came out of the seat and covered the rear area and the baby.

Andy131 should be able to fill you in.

There is a certain member on here who's going to be very jealous. I really like that, always fancied one of the Disco 2s from the challenge. What's its history, mileage etc? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

If you replace the roof basket with rails & 4 cross bars you can carry more payload.
