Just did mine recently - got it open with no external damage by squeezing it in a vice - not too much just enough to distort the 2 plastic halves and several different positions along the sides.

Also didn't need anew battery as one leg of the coin cell is short - hence the packing required earlier in the post, so i just re-soldered it making sure i got the short leg... Stewart

I had a key low power fault come up on the dash this morning - I was expecting it as the garage replace the battery in the other key when the MOT was done a few weeks back, 5 minute job to open the fab and replace the 2032 battery.

Mine is a 2013 model so it is not a rechargeable battery. MY13 HSE Lux Santorini Black Gone

I've recently bought an FL2 and the second fob Won't unlock it, it does everything else just won't unlock it. Any ideas?

when you say everything else... lock, open boot, switch lights, on sound the horn, ie other buttons work?
sounds like it is a faulty button, some refurb services swap these out just a matter of finding one. again something you could do at home if you know how to solder. Stewart

It does everything else ok just wont unlock.
