Engine not starting...

I have two fault codes, P253F & P252F. I have erased the fault codes but they come back and the engine is not starting. I have changed the engine oil and filter. Wiring is fine too. When i checked the resistance on the engine oil level sensor, it showed 11 ohms. I think the actual sensor is broken but I want to make sure and see if someone else had the same problem.

Hello,
Did you find the cause of error codes. I have exactly the same issue but I have no problem with starting.
Livedata shows oil temperature of 271 C° when engine is cold. Tried with new sensor but same temperature.

Hej!
I bought a secondhand sensor as well, but the problem was not the sensor rather i had to reset the service interval. Then i could erase the faults. I have also changed the oil and the oil filter because the last owner had not done that for a very long time. The only thing remains now is to bleed the fuel system and then i hope it will start. If you want i can check and see what reading i get for the oil temperature.

Good to hear. I haven't reset the service intervall either. Så takk for det! That will help. I hope it is a miscalculasjon of the reader. But would be nice if you could get a reading from your car Smile

Just picked up you posts.

You both appear to have similar issues. As far as I am aware those codes are for degraded engine oil and oil level. Have you changed the oil and filter to the correct type. After running the engine for a short period you should be able to clear the codes.
I had this issue on a Ford Transit. It wasn't due an oil change but it said it was dirty. Changed oil, all well.

Hope you get it sorted. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.
