You need to be very cautious buying a Freelander 2 at the moment. I have been looking for about 2 months. In my experience a lot have not been maintained as they should or are massively overpriced. Even the main dealers are trying to cash in. I enquired about 2 advertised as FSH from main dealers. One wasn’t serviced for the first 2 years of its life (Low mileage-first owner lived in London) and the second had various gaps of 2 years. Other supposed specialist dealers are doing the same. I rang up about another which was last serviced in 2017 and advertised as FSH😬

Pretty stiff pricing, probably cheaper to use a main dealer! 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Hi,
Not doubting them, just wonder how many are still for sale as some dealers leave the ads in place to see how many calls of interest there are? they can also then go "Oh just sold that one, but we have others" Thumbs Up

its still good to see strong pricing Very Happy

Thumbs Up .
my first ever FL2 and I did keep it longer than most other cars!
But its now gone way up Norf

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Fuji White

Yate Car Sales came to the FL2 Forum's notice last December.

I think that the conclusion was that although the prices were on the high side, they offered good service and a good warranty.

Scotland 2014 Freelander 2 TD4_e Dynamic Manual Fuji White

I think there is only a handful of members on here who have owned their FL2s from new. Mine left the dealership new at approximately £37,786 IIRC.

We need to be mindful what these cars did cost new and there clearly still is a demand for them.

I’m happy prices are still strong and mines done very very little miles BUT I won’t be selling any time soon. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior
