Broken handle lever inside only of passenger door

Hi there, I was hoping to fix this problem myself and was wondering if members thought that was possible or just not a good idea

Passenger door of Freelander2 td4 2007 opens fine from the outside. From the inside, however, the lever just pulls and nothing happens. Feels like a spring has gone maybe. Have you any tips for self repair or will I get into electrics nightmares?
Thank you in advance, CYL

Does it unlock and open when you pull the drivers side handle or the dash button ?

I removed the door card and found the cable had come out of the interior handle, put it back in and all’s well, the same thing actually happened to another door less than a week later, easy fix on mine!

If it keeps popping out. As mine did. You can secure it with a tie wrap.

Thank you, I'll try that. I'm wondering if the driver's door one might be going too πŸ™„
