Thanks for your views everyone, my mrs is very short so maybe they are a necessity for me, I think I will just wait and see how she gets on with it although personally I do rather like the look with them on |

SWMBO is 5ft nothing and has no problem getting in to my FL2 without side steps. It’s more of a problem getting out of her Fiesta ST3! |

I have side steps fitted and find them very helpful getting in when some numpty has parked too close and you can't open the door enough for a "normal" entry. Mrs Jimbo has a mobility problem and finds the steps very helpful. They aslo help keep some of the mud and crud off the side of the car in mucky weather.

I have side steps fitted but confess it was more vanity than function. I like them but in comparison to Lightwater's, 'End of world fit-out', they seem quite trivial

I fitted them to my Son's XS, wouldn't want them on our HSE. He loves them I hate them, I always find them awkward and set a bit to high. It's all about personal choice at the end of the day 2007 TD4 XS The work horse that earns its up keep

If you don't like the side-steps, what about the side-tubes. ?? in Black, as stainless is too bling. |

The reason they never get used is that they are at the wrong end. One drives into a problem & the solution is to back out, not get further into the mess. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
