Starting issue after refuelling on hot days

Hi all.
We are Australian Freelander 2 newbies, having owned our 2011 i6 SE Auto since late November.
We have an issue after refuelling that only seems to happen on hot days (32'+).
After filling the tank the car will run for perhaps a minute or 2 before cutting out.
It then restarts on the 3rd or 4th attempt and runs OK after that.
This has happened 3 or 4 times now - today it cut out in the middle of a roundabout just after the petrol station.
Last time in the middle of the carpark at the supermarket where the fuel station is (and no, it is not cheap supermarket fuel, but a Caltex station).
Research on the internet tured up this as a problem with the Freelander 2 on Australian Car Reviews: The Land Rover L359 Freelander 2's engine may not restart after heat soak due to insufficient fuel pressure to overcome vapor lock (i.e. liquid fuel changing to gas while still in the fuel delivery system).
Is this what is happening with my car? If so what's the cure?
Thanks in advance

Do you fill the tank fully? If so try 3/4 full instead. Common sense isn't very common.

I have the Si4 & try to stick 98 in it where I can. Failing that 95. Failing that 91. The Owners Handbook states 91 to 98.

I have found the extra price of 98 is recovered by the extra milage unless the price is too extreme. But I basically stick with 98.

My previous car took 91, but stopped have problems when I changed to 98.

I did once have a couple of hiccups after putting 91 in the car as that is all I could get in the outback. Probably still about a quarter of a tank of 98 left before filling with 91 & I got an engine warning on the dash. The warning did go next time I started the car & put 98 in it. So I can't say what the actual issue was, but it was fixed.

This has never happened any other time.

On my car the fuel filter is in the tank as part of the pump & all gets replaced at 90,000 km, I think.

In the outback I stuff the tank absolutely full as you don't know when you get the next tank.

Not to forget excise tax on petrol is $0.423 per litre no matter the octane. If you stick some wings on the car excise is $0.03556 Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I usually fill with 98, occasionally E10.
Next week we are heading out on a road trip to Broken Hill, Mildura and back to Sydney.
Don't want the car playing up out there. We'll have 15l of 98 on board in a jerry can.
Ours has 190 000km on the clock, part service history, but the independent LR mobile service team here reckoned it was a sound car when I got them to check it over and service it.

E10 was a disaster on my previous car even though it could technically use it. Very poor milage & it felt like someone had shoved a potato up the exhaust.

You can get 98 all the way out to Broken Hill. Use the various apps to locate the cheaper petrol stations, $1.459 cheapest in BH today!

I have every receipt for fuel for my car & write down trip data for each tank full. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

If it's Mildura & return you do not need a Jerry can.

Our NSW trip: https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic27606.html quite a few changes to the car since some of these photos.

If you end up getting out of Sydney late, Macquarie Woods between Bathurst & Orange, if going that way, on the north side of the highway is a good place to stay overnight. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
