Hey all, have been getting performance restricted error last day or two. Code reader suggest it's Turbo Boost Solenoid problem.
Local garage will replace with a refurbished solenoid actuator thing from ebay if I buy it but I'm reading one place online that says these things are only sold with the turbo as they are mapped to the turbo they come with at factory. And so a refurbished one will only cause further problems down the line and on FB I'm reading that they dont even work but a second hand unit will.

For obvious financial reasons I'm quite keen not to have to buy a whole new turbo unit.

Anyone have any experience of this problem themselves? Could really do with some specialist advice on this one.
It's a 2013 Freelander 2 facelift version if that matters.

I cant remember the exact code now but I think it was something like P0046-19 Turbo Boost Solenoid Performance
