Getting this on cold starts recently. It goes away when I blip the accelerator.

Could it be the Throttle Body about to fail? No problem so far on shut down.

could be,mine did that when turning off,no management light,but as it was under warranty i scanned it for codes and that came up,im in the trade so they took my word for it and changed it.

But also could be a heat shield that resonates less at higher revs, or stops tinkling as the metal warms up? 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

I had a similar noise when I turned my car off,turned out to be a couple of small stones trapped under the heat shield,might be worth a look first.

It only happens when starting from cold, not at any other time.

Could it be the A/C compressor? I will get this checked, and also whether the A/C refrigerant needs a top-up.
