it's inside the headlamp. Black module with a white ball level.

This is what it looks like. Has actuator arm attached to move bulb position

Maybe my description is wrong. Perhaps I’m looking for the headlight control module as in picture above. 2007 2.2 GS Td4

Does your car have xenon adaptive headlights fitted?

That module is only for adaptive headlights. Your car should have the little adjusting wheel next to the headlamp switch which when operated activates the levelling motor in the headlight (as mentioned in an earlier post) What is the problem you are trying to sort?

Regardless of headlight switch position I have an intermittent fault where lights are on with ignition and I loose cruise control and high beam whilst this happens. Had a situation recently where whilst driving lights and instruments flickered off and back on. All other electrical functions are normal, brake lights and steering controls. Local stealer can’t find fault code as fault didn’t show when they looked at it. 2007 2.2 GS Td4

I’ve a secondary earth lead connected to the starter motor so doubtful. When this happens you can even completely disconnect the headlight switch and the lights stay on. 2007 2.2 GS Td4

Not directly related to this topic , but is it feasible to change my 2013 XS from manual headlamp levelling to auto - I now have non adaptive xenons fitted.( Original Land Rover OE versions ) Question FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey

There is another older post that kind of relates to this issue and it was related to wiring that had chaffed through on a bracket behind the dashboard near the light switch. Its normal for the lights tostay on after removing the light switch.

Ref the auto levelling. I suppose it could be done but it would involve a load of work and wiring as the system uses a ecu and level sensors on the suspension to send signals to the ecu. The original manual levelling switch will still work with the new headlights although strictly speaking it should have auto levelling to pass the MOT but in reality it should not be a problem.

Thanks, sounds as if it's not worth it.
Manual levelling works fine and it has gone through MOT no problem so it's only a technicality in practice.
Also I very rarely carry a heavy load Thumbs Up FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey

It worked fine on my 60 plate car when I converted the headlamps to oe xenon from halogen.
