Left hand indicator on solid all the time.

As title. My wife pointed out the window asking why her indicator was on.

I went out to have a look and the battery was completely flat as she never goes anywhere any more, but it had just enough to unlock it. Which was a mistake as it then went mental with things clicking and humming all over the shop. It wouldnt lock or do anything.

I couldnt leave it like that, so had to jump start it, and have left it running for s good half an hour but still the left hand side indicator is lit up solid.
If you turn on the indicator it pulses slightly but stays lit. All the rest are fine.

I shall put the battery on charge with the ctek tomorrow, but even when the car is locked and shut down this darn light stays on. Probably why the battery was so flat.

Could it be as simple as a sticky relay somewhere?

I would disconnect the battery for a while and fully charge it they really don’t like a low battery.

More likely an electrical "bridge"..........a short. Something is causing the "circuit" to complete. Pull the fuse for now.

Easier said than done, can’t find the fuse. Everything I look up says something different and the diagrams on the fuse boxes don’t seem to mention indicators.

I’ll dig the manual out tomorrow, been to busy with other things to spend much time on it today. Battery is now charged and I’ve reset the many, many fault codes but still the light refuses to go out.

Electronics are not my forte, so it might end up being a garage job.

Try disconnecting the door plug and looking for corrosion in the loom causing the power to be ‘tracking’ to the repeater.

I fixed it last week. Was corrosion in the tow bar plug underneath the left hand side panel in boot. The boot was quite wet, I assume water is getting in from the high level brake light or something.
