I changed the battery on my 64 plate last summer, same problems you are having, the FL2 is not keen on low battery voltage it can throw up all sorts of warnings until that day when it wont start... Change it |

Thanks guys, just got a new one, Yuasa 096, 80AH, 740 CCA which is the same as the last one.

Exactly the same battery I brought... can't go wrong with Yuasa. |

The green dot only monitors that cell, which may be ok, the other cells are probably on the way out. |

In addition to the "start engine or system will shut down" message I started to get the "special programme not available message" so off to Halfords for a new battery. £132 fitted and I am so glad they did it as I think I would have struggled. Yuasa 85ah with 5 year guarantee. Certainly saved a lot of frigging about to save a few quid. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

looks like its a fairly common thing then, well worth changing. Just hope it was the battery and not the Haldex dying |
