The coding will disable the rear parking sensors as well as rear fog lights and add the tow module into the CCF; when I flashed mine I had two messages, one regarding a transmission com/fault error and the other I can't remember now. Once done adding module, the software asks to clear all error codes. I am not sure if it actually does anything to the transmission other than communicating with the reverse sensors to let the system know that a trailer is now attached.

I used the PF Jones wiring and without coding everything worked apart from the reversing sensors. Even the trailer warning light on the dash worked. I used a cloned Mongoose cable and a free copy of SDD V130 to 'add' the trailer module and that fixed the reversing sensor problem.

You’ll find that the trailer warning light will work, but not the cut out for the reversing sensor. Here’s a picture of the cable harness installation. It really is very straightforward to do.

I had my towbar fitted on a 2011 plate Fl2 and the independent fitter failed to enable the electrics with his box of tricks.

The PF Jones cable harness works as I have described above, i.e. everything but the reversing sensor shut off. |

Glad you got sorted. The PF Jones cable harness is just the job, isn’t it? I also found the service from them to be really excellent when I had my queries about the S number on the towball. Highly recommended. |
