Hi I am trying to determine the age of my Bosch battery.
Embossed code is DG0N 5467.
Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks, I had seen that, plus a few others. Just cannot relate it to the markings on mine.

There is normally a code in the format WWYY for Week and Year. Obviously Week 54 of 1967 isn't valid, are there any other numbers visible ?

try looking at the negative post of the battery. Stamped into the lead post should be WW/YY date code.

solved

Thanks for your help guys. Nothing on the neg post. But, I did find the correct code 66C5542530807 hiidden under a cable.
I interpret this as 554 and the chart indicates this is was manufactured June 2015. Good for another year or so. But I will keep an eye on it. Cold weather and short journeys do not help.

Hi,
battery life is VERY dependent on the type of use it has had so could well be ready for changing in 3, 4 or 5 years or may well last 8, 9 or 10 years Question

only real way of deciding when a new one is required is to monitor your battery's voltage, when its asleep or Float charged (something like that!)

there has been a couple of post recently regarding this may be worth you having a read of and sorting a trickle charge out to keep what you have healthy Question

Thumbs Up .
my first ever FL2 and I did keep it longer than most other cars!
But its now gone way up Norf

Watched a film last night called "Castaway" about a guy marooned on an Island for four years. He eventually is rescued and goes home to be told that his car is still in the garage as he left it. He gets in and it starts first time. Now that's a good battery! Rolling with laughter 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Yes, I agree. I give it the occasion boost with my Ctek. And monitor the sleeping voltage with a digital guage plugged into the rear accessory socket. Which is visible through the side window. Seems to be stable between 12.2 and 12.4v in this cold weather.
