My neighbour came round recently, her aged father had parked his car behind hers on the sloping drive. He had left his lights on and run the battery down. It took three sets of jumper leads in series to get from her battery to the car behind with children at each junction holding the connectors apart. Surprisingly it all worked and grandad was sent on his way.  3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Never done that, I would always run the car to keep the voltage up - you're just asking for 2 flat batteries if you do it without the engine running.

my first ever FL2 and I did keep it longer than most other cars!

A proper battery test will show capacity and charge/discharge capability. If you’re running the original battery I would be surprised if you weren’t running on borrowed time.
Many of the electronic modules and components have an expected voltage requirement. Should that not be available, inconsistent results will present themselves. Guy Pensa
