My needle shows just under half way, takes about five maybe six miles to get there. I shall check tomorrow and post if it is any different.

Shame the temp needle isn't linear... Stays at that point for quite a temperature range |

Thanks everybody, the car is being serviced on the 14th so I will ask our mechanic to check the thermostat and replace it if neccessary, but in the meantime swmbo will keep an eye on the temp gauge thanks again for all your help.

In the old days you would wip out the thermostat and put it in a saucepan on the cooker and boil it up and see if it opens. No need for a code reader in those days. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
