Sometimes when there's been a battery issue or it's been disconnected the car can go into limp mode and throw up codes. I resolved this after a lot of varied reading and research by doing a throttle body recalibration. At least one other member on here has found this to be a solution to their issues too.

I'm just on my way out soon to do similar stuff to you, shopping for older and more vulnerable folk. As and when I get a chance later I'll send some links. If you get the chance before that just have a look at some of my posts earlier this year.

Will be in touch later, cheers.

No I haven't done a calibration, didn't know it was required.
Should be able to check tomorrow.
Today is the day we do the shopping for some very old vulnerable pensioners so won't have time.
I know very little about SDD therefore need to take time.
I'll post results when I get them.
Thanks. Thumbs Up

I had a turbo underboost code come up when I ran the SDD diagnostic.
Here's a couple of relevant screen shots from the routine I ran.

Might not be linked to your DTCs but I posted on this thread 2nd March this year.

Thanks for info Micken.

Haven't recalibrated the throttle body as yet. Have seen a routine to run after fitting a replacement, is that the one.
If so I'll run it after fitting a new MAP sensor and cleaning the throttle body as I can't remember when I last did it.

As for the battery issue, you could be correct. Replaced the battery couple of years ago but just found out to day it needs to be run through the SDD. Originally when running SDD showed my battery in yellow. Run the sequence in SDD, now battery is green. It then suggested I clear all stored DTC, did as suggested.

As a side note my EGR has a partial blanking plate fitted next to the throttle body. Has a small hole to allow some flow.

Will try and do the throttle body routine tomorrow.

Any other pearls of wisdom would be gratefully received. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Quick update.
Removed the throttle body for cleaning. body itself wasn't bad but sensor looked gunked up. Cleaned sensor with MAF sensor cleaner and body with carb clean plus a polish for good measure. See before and after photos. Also replaced the MAP sensor.

Connected SDD and run the calibration of new throttle body procedure.

Started the car from cold. Still poor starting but I'm assuming the the car may need to run the new sensors for awhile to fully calibrate. Don't know, will have to see, unless some knows better. Will see what it is like after a couple of days.
SDD also wanted to delete all stored codes, so just let it. Presumably if there is any issue a new DTC will appear.

All comments welcome. Thumbs Up

Forgot to mention in previous post, took off the pipe from the PCV to check for oil.
End connected to the PCV had a small amount of oil in it, end going into the air duct clean and dry.
I'll take that as a good sign. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
