Its a personal thing of course, but I agree - they dont enhance the FL2 IMO

I had them on my Discos (1 and 2) and actually used them to get in and out of the vehicle. Jules

Sidesteps certainly seem to polarise opinion.
I have them on mine and think they look okay. My wife uses them to get in. She’d struggle without them.
As I understand it though, you can’t use the standard scissor jack with them in place, which is a clear downside.

no problems using the scissor jack front or back with mine...

Perhaps it’s just some models of side steps/bars then. I’ve never had to use mine.
That’s 5he kiss of death then!

I've decided to keep the sidesteps as a shopping trolley protection system.

After putting so much into it, im glad people appreciate it. The xjs is not everyones cup of tea as it followed the e-type , (a hard act to follow) but as time goes on they seem to be getting more desireable.

Friend had one of those, I remember looking into the engine bay and wondering if anything ever needed replacing how the hell would you go about it. Theres not much room in there.

Looks nice but I would remove the steps you really don’t need them on the FL2 & they look awful.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder especially when said person has just shelled out a shed load of money
personally I like them also saves wear and tear on the side of the seat unless you are in excess of 6 foot +

Td5 auto head gasket,no5 pot not uncommon but good car.
1st Tdv6s manual epb problem fixed under warranty(stealer said"never heard of this before,i suggested he looked at d3 forum.
2nd Tdv6 se auto epb
3rd Tdv6 xs auto 2008,swmbo,s favourite.

Once you've taken the bonnet off, the rad, oilcooler, condenser, both fans and cowling, fuel injection rail, inlet manifolds and 100 other bits .....you can actually see the engine
