This wasn't a great deal different to the way the American broadcasters handled the situation. They announced Biden as the winner, based on the results that were in and predictions of how the remaining states were voting at that stage. It's clear that final counting would be ongoing for days so in the circumstances they decided this was the likely result. |

The major networks in the US do make "the call", this is how it works over the other side of the Atlantic at which point the loser usually concedes and the victor gives an acceptance speech.

Are you really anticipating that Trump will concede? He will drag this out for as long as he can, resident in the White House for as long as he is legally allowed, if not even longer. He even went as far as to accuse Biden of bringing embarrassment upon the US through his acts of fraud and such like . . . . |

Without doubt, he has been lining his pockets while in the WH as he has done his whole life before; he's as corrupt as they come and projects this onto his opponents, real or perceived, quite successfully with his "flock". He will leverage his leaving the WH to keep himself and family out of the "big house". Bank on it......

President Trump is playing golf and seems to be avoiding directly speaking to anyone. I don't think that he will ever acknowledge that he is the loser. What is needed is for the Mike Pence, the Vice President, to step in and clarify what is the position. I would be interested in his opinion, but so far he has been silent. As the press is reporting, most democratic countries governments are accepting this as a fair election, and although Trump increased his majority since 2016, Joe Biden got far more votes and will win the Electoral College's approval.
