Wet and Dry and some polishing compound make sense.

Yeah thanks, I saw the replacement lenses, although they sell them, they've never attempted it themselves, so I'm a bit dubious to try. Think I'll initially try some t-cut to start with. |

I use Brasso, Silvo & tooth paste, what ever is at hand, to polish scratches on acrylic covers. You will not get rid of the scratch, but just polish it so it is a lot less visible. A fair bit or elbow grease is required, but it does look a lot better. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I've used this Autoglym headlight restoration kit on my previous Freelander 1 to remove the yellow oxidation and it works a treat. Not sure how good it would be on deeply marked lenses though but it gets you to sand the lens and then polish plus seal the lens, so should help. Freelander 2 XS 2013

If you use any abrasive on the headlamp glass (actually polycarbonate), you'll strip off the anti UV coating, which will mean the polycarbonate will fog over due to UV exposure. Think carefully before deciding to leave it with a few chips, or spend time before each MOT removing the fogging with a proprietary kit. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. Do you know what is causing the headlight pitting?

If you polish your car (always amazed by those who don't) give the headlamps a coat of polish every time you do the car, that will keep any fogging from becoming a problem. I have washed my car about 6 times, about once a year, after outback trips & waxed it once. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
