My MiL has just bought a 2016 (yes, that is definitely correct) Automatic Metropolis FL2

She keeps asking me questions as I drive a D2 td5 and have some LR knowledge but i am flummoxed on 2 things

1 is easy: how many rear flog lights should it have? I can't get round to have a look and would not want to start taking things to pieces anyway on a car that she has only had for a week... 1 is illuminating at the back. Is that correct or should it be 2?

2 is much harder: she has an issue with it that many people seem to have. on 2 occasions she has pulled away and the engine has idled for another second or 2. She has had an FL2 for years so she knows the difference between normal turnolag and this. Has a definite source for this problem ever been found? I have told her to ask the main dealer to clear the faults and then take it back to be fault read after it next happens but beyond that, I am not sure what to advise. THe forums have a dozen different ideas about this.

1. 2 fogs. If the off-side one is working , she is legal, although good to have both.

My 2014 had only one rear fog until I found the fuse for the ns was missing - assume it was never fitted from new. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Try a throttle body reset to cure the flat spot.

Turn on ignition but don’t put your foot on the brake (you don’t want to start the engine)
Press accelerator pedal to the floor for at least 30 seconds
Release accelerator pedal and switch off ignition
Wait a couple of minutes
Start the car and drive it fairly rapid for a few miles. It should then 'learn' your driving style.
