Just to say I had great service from straststone in Nottingham. I went to look at a replacement freelander after mine had been written off, and they arranged that I could drive home in the freelander I went to look at and they organised that the hire car I had could be collected from them so really helpful, one happy customer and pleased to be back in the freelander after two weeks in a hire car.

Yes they wanted to sell me a car, but as it was the cheapest in the dealership it was good that they were just as helpful as if a more expensive car. It was a better service than I have had in another main dealer closer to home where I bought my last freelander.

I've never had bad service from Stratstone Notts, and I've never bought a motor from them.
The service department has always helped or advised me with problems and they know I will do most jobs myself.

Well just to bring this thread a bit more up to date:

I was one of those that actually bought a freely from Stratstone Notts and traditionally I have always had good service from them, but my last freely was 8 years old and there is a more economical alternative.

However, I had a need to go to Stratstones with my latest and still under LR 2yr warranty freely as I had (like some others) mislaid my wheel nut key thingy, so I drove into Nottingham knowing they have a universal key or whatever to remove my locking bolts as I had an appointment for my tyres to be fitted later that day.

"Oh we can't do that" when I asked if they would change the locking wheel bolts for plain bolts, we would need to book it in sometime next week. But it's only a 2 minute job I said, still no joy. What is the world coming to.

So I toddled off to Marshalls of Melton and what a difference. Come in, sit down here's a coffee, let me have the keys and if there is not a mechanic free I can do it myself said the lass on reception, it only takes a couple of minutes.

Sure enough, 5 Mins later I was on my way nicely topped up with coffee, 4 locking wheel bolts in my glovebox and 4 standard wheel bolts on the car, all for £12. Bargain.

His real name is Mr. David Stone, and as the Brand Director, he is based out of the Mayfair, London W1 Office if you wanted further clarification on how to voice any complaints about them as a dealership....(he is quite used to complaints, as you would expect)

I've not used Stratstone Notts for a while, used to get a good service but when my Freelander turned 10 they seemed to loose interest even trying to buy parts was taking at least 1/2 hour plus.

I’ve just had to replace my throttle body and after phoning around for a price Stratstone came in the cheapest at £169. Chesterfield wanted a whopping £250. So well done Stratstone and thanks. Groucho Marks once said. I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member. 😬

Freelander 2 2007 td4 hse automatic.

Just phoned Straststone Notts for price of some spares and was told that they are not selling spare parts but would supply and fit, so Inchcape it is then.
