Help with rustproofing

Does any one know of a good rustproofing company in the Barnard Castle area, the inner sills on my FL2 are very badly rusted, but not structurally compromised. I need the under side of the Landy derusted and waxolyed, but I can't find anyone local to do the job, the nearest I can find is in Leeds which is too far for me. I would of done the job myself but I have MS and I just can't manage it now, I really need some help before the rust gets too bad and requires welding.

It's a pretty old car, is it worth spending money on it? The money might be better put into a younger filly! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I wonder if the one in Leeds is the one that Mike Brewer took a car to on a Wheeler Dealers I saw the other week, old episode but I think the young guy had the car 3 days and did a tip top job underneath and in all cavities for about £900.

Might be pretty old, but it's all I've got and I certainly can't afford another. They are still selling for around £4.5 k and I can't afford to throw that away.

I drove down from W.Yorks to the guy linked below and spent the night before in a cheap hotel . I had the car done about 4 years ago I think . It’s not a cheap thing to get a car cleaned and waxoyled , and you have to realise it’s not a “ cure “ it’s just mitigation. I was happy enough with the service , and we spent the day driving round the midlands in a Japanese import micro van that he loaned us as a courtesy vehicle .

ref the comments above about car value , although It won’t be cheap , the way I look at my 09 is The science of “ Bangernomics”. If I replaced it with something newer , I’d have 3 to 6 grand a year depreciation minimum , Whereas in real terms my 09 has stopped depreciating , it will always be worth what it’s worth or It will be scrap , so spending a couple of thousand pounds a year on service and repair isn’t silly as the engine at 69,000 is barely run in . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

An alternative and very much cheaper solution is Lanoguard. It is very quick to use DIY, and the beauty is you can keep topping it up as needed. It was developed for the Marine sector so has a good pedigree, and the guy who runs the UK company is very helpful. https://www.lanoguard.co.uk/collections/mo...-care-kit#

With rustrproofing, its all in the prep

A cheap job won't be good, and a good job won't be cheap...

I done my own Disco 3, and galv chassis aside, there is still over £500 of products on its underside, before labour costs...
