FL2 Search Country Belgium

Hi

newbie here, I have a 2013 FL2 I ahve an issue with the sat nav - search country defaults to Belgium - will not store any locations or 'Home' and defaults back when ignition is turned off. I have seen the bulletin suggesting that his could either be software or hardware - my question is, has anybody with the issue tried the firmware update using the usb stick and how did it go ? thanks in advance - any help would be most helpful as stumped.

Where does the sat nav store the data ? ie stored locations, is there a HDD or does it access the USB to store ? does the unit have a battery backup to provide power to the store the locations when the ignition is off ?

If you do sort please reply back... I have continued to ignore the same issue on ours...now using maps or Waze on our iPhones instead...
Hoping there is a local specialist who knows what they are doing...car is long out of warranty and there’s no way I can justify putting it into a main dealer to fix... Shocked

I am going to give the USB update a try to see if it fixes the issue, will update when purchased and done.
