Update...Got a bit of a shock when ordering the, Cam belt kit, from Hunters Land Rover, even with my discount it came in at just under £200 The VAT crippled the cost. Gates it is then shade under £100 by the time you add postage. Thanks for the head up on eBay. |

Agree , there is nothing special or unique about many LandRover service parts except the percentage overhead applied to arrive at the selling price . Ford are masters at value engineering and purchasing , and the Ford /PSA Diesel unit has seen service in zillions of vehicles . It doesn’t take a lot of googling to find out which companies make original equipment for the big automotive outfits . Something like a Pierburg brand throttle body will be £60 to £80 cheaper from Euro Car Parts than it will be in a LR box . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

The same can be said about oils. Land Rover don’t make any oil but the oil for the Haldex from Land Rover is way more expensive than the Volvo branded version. |
