So after much deliberation, I ordered the steering lock emulator.
I thought it worth a try at about £20 delivered.

I've just plugged it in, as per previous posted video, and boom... Off she went. Fired up first push of the button 👍

Now, I see this as no permanent fix. I would much rather have a new steering lock.

If I were to buy a new or used steering lock, will it need coding to the car??

Could be wrong here but I remember reading that it will have to be coded to the ECU/BCU

It would seem so. 👍
At £229 for a brand new one, I think thats the way forward.

Next is the key fob that keeps ejecting.

Just out of interest. Is there anyone near Warrington that can do the coding thing??

Today it was raining and snowing so I had time to look at the error codes. I found it with a Delphi multi-brand tester. C1108, C1A41 codes that say that the 5V voltage, probably the one that passes through the switches on the clutch pedal is missing or is too low.
B10AC, B10A2, B10AE, these would be Start / Stop codes. Start / Stop worked when I could not start the car from the button but directly from the start relay. It doesn't work now. I will check the 5V from clutch pedal switches if not good, ground point contact.
In service manual say that after changing one of clutch switch it must be configured. This cannot be true.

Same situation, C1108 , C1A41 DTC. Motor doesn't crank. Changed clutch pedal and switches, clutch master cylinder. Cruise control dead, start stop dead. Cranks if a de press clutch and brake pedal the same time but the starter solenoid remains engaged. The only way I cand start the car is by manually press the R102 relay. I have not another ideas. Is someone here who can help ?

The same situation, Clutch Switches checked, faults still there. Next stept I think of is to check CAN bus signal between CJB and ECM. If I can.
Signal voltage forn clutch switches is 12V not 5V. 12V is correct. Checked ground , nothing wrong.
