I’ve replied to this thread but your post has reminded me of something I had forgotten. I had an annoying squeak from the back of the car it turned out to be around the rear door handle I packed it out with an old credit card and cut off the excess and it just went hence forgetting about it. |

Now the original question appears to have been answered, I now look back to Alex’s post.

To stop all squeaks outside the cabin install acoustic insulation. It works brilliantly! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

That doesn't stop the squeaks, it just acoustically insulates them from you !!!

In Australia you will not hear squeaks on our roads.

Unfortunately, you supplied little extra information to enable others to offer any specific advice. Squeaks occurring when traversing bumps can be caused by all manner things. For example: Seats Interior trim Exterior trim Springs ARB bushes Damper bushes Other suspension components Anything loose that shouldn't be Things I havent thought of. Fault tracing can be frustrating: Once, with my old Discovery, I kept finding the OS rear door window had dropped a few centimetres whilst driving to work. I spent hours taking the door apart to look for an electrical fault, only to eventually find it was my briefcase leaning on the switch when I went around a LH bend. Jules |
