Well, my other half and I ordered our Freelander2 in January, our salesman has just now contacted us and said that our car has now been built.

Thanks! After being told "No, you can't have Martinique Blue, you have to have Bali Blue, look at the LR UK website" to being told "OK, you can have Martinique Blue, and it will be the last one that colour"

You just have to look at Frobius's avatar to see that 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

Has anyone had the driving light pods installed? We have ordered them, and looking at the installation instructions, the front half of the car needs to be dismantled! And a hole cut in the dash for the switch I would have thought that LR would have made a provision in the dash, and filled it in with a clip in cover?? |

I hate those clip in covers. It constantly reminds you that you didn't have enough money to get a button here that does something. I'd like to see how your driving lights look though. I'm not entirely sold on the styling of them. |

I wasn't sure of them either, but since I live in a rural area, normal high beam isn't enough. A number plate mounted nudge bar would look odd, and I haven't found any other type of mounting hardware for additional lights that didn't look peculiar.

No, but I've seen "fitting instructions" (Twin lamp pods LR004088) - O'boy - O'boy. I will not try to install it.

Oh, don't worry - I am not installing them - I am having all my accessories fitted before I take delivery of the car - was doubly sure after seeing the install instructions The dealer quoted nearly AU$1k supplied and fitted, but I was able to get a really, really good deal on the tow bar supply and installation, so I wasn't going to argue too much. |

Same here. Installed on delivery. Just paying for parts, not labour. Part of the deal.
