I dislike white cars, and the OAP/council side steps.

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Fuji White

I feel that this is advertised at a 'Retail' price. If it is as good as the seller describes it, then it should be easy to have it Serviced, Valeted, and have a LR Warranty issued. Then it would worth the 'Retail' price.

As I said on original thread;-

If you can get the seller to get it through a LR Dealer Inspection, and a proper 12 month LR Extended Warranty issued, then this would be a good buy. (at their risk and expense)

Otherwise it is a bit expensive if you have to gamble on its ongoing condition and reliability.

The FL2 looks fantastic in white, and this has all the equipment available.
 FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

Hi,
seems expensive to me its due the belt change service next few months as well (7Y)

Low miles is not always a good thing either if its only done 3 miles to the school 4 times a day it never gets warm which is no good for any car Rolling Eyes

L/R own value for p/ex has it at £14500 they can always be optimistic Laughing

Thumbs Up .
my first ever FL2 and I did keep it longer than most other cars!
But its now gone way up Norf

For that money, I’d want more than a couple of months MOT on it. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Firenze Red

Looks a nice car with low miles, I chuckled at the comment about needing a cam belt.... mine is a 14 plate and done 17k I wont be putting a cambelt on it until its 10 years old as that was the recommended time until very recently. I just put a new cambelt on a 2002 Focus we had since new and it had done 95k the belt was inspected and looked very good. Ok I ws lazy not changing it before that but it shows that most of the time belts last a lot longer than you think and changing them out for no good reason if its low miles you may be wasting money.... I know of other plus 100k FL2's that had the belt changed at 10 years and it looked in excellent condition upon inspection on all of them 2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4

Hi,
ISTR the belt change was dropped from 10 years to 7 years when the SD4 came in and covered both SD4 and TD4 that was about 8 years ago !

If your keeping the car then yes maybe go nearer the 10y than 7y but its age and not just miles that degrades the belts ours is a TD4 and yes may well be after 7y before the belt gets done Question

If i was looking to Buy a car that was just coming up on its scheduled Belt change I would be "taking it into account" Whistle

You pays your money and take your chance

Thumbs Up .

My independent dealer states 10 years for cambelt change despite what you read on here,
as it always was 10 years, and still is, as stated in the owners manual.

Many people buy older cars and never change the cambelt to take advantage of cheap motoring.

Hi,
its your money and your choice but its Not whats wrote on here, its what Landrover's service schedule says Exclamation

yes a 2008 TD4 had a 10Y schedule but a 2013 TD4 has a 7Y schedule according to LR,
same engine so you make your own choice but a 2013 model year as this thread is about has a 7Y belt change schedule
which any Indep garage should confirm for the correct year, if they then suggest leaving it longer, 10Y as the older models thats your choice.

Thumbs Up .
