The chaps on the counter are generally very knowledgeable so I tend to pop over during the week if I need something only they have. Jules |

Toolstation customer services took 3 emails and a month to reply to my request to return a faulty item. All good in the end just took a long time. Jules |

After placing an order and paying, it took them a week to tell me the part had been superceded and I had to pay as much again online before they'd order the new one. I got a refund and went elsewhere. Freelander 2 2010 [MY2011] FA 2.2 TD4 XS |

So, I bought our Freelander 2 i6 SE right before New year, and now I placed an order of various spares and two sets of Alpaca floor mats at John Craddock Ltd. The mats were advertised at gbp 26,64 plus vat.

The price on the website is the price you should be paying. They're can't up the price just because they feel like it. It comes under the distance selling rules, which are very strict, and exist protect the buyer. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

If they have accepted your payment and your method of payment has been deducted from your account the the goods are yours, the shipping charges are a different contract, not withstanding the distance selling laws my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

If a seller lists a price then they have two options, one is except your offer to buy at that price, two is they can legally refuse to sell at the advertised price. Common sense isn't very common.

Ah, so this leaves me as a buyer in a situation where a seller can advertise anything at a fantasy price, and then when the sale is done, and money drawn from the buyers bank account, in the hands of the seller, who can then decide to demand any other price he or she many fancy. As in my case for example.

You state that John Craddock Ltd have deducted your account, in that case the goods are yours, you now pay the £40 to complete the transaction, if you don't pay the shipping cost you can't receive them and therefore a stalemate, unless you can get some one to collect them with your authorisation. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
