Had my Freelander 2 for about 18 months now, recently I discovered the the headlamp washers weren't working.

There is one 'power wash' pump but two outputs from the ECU, each output goes to a separate relay which in turn drives the pump in a different direction, the pump has two outlets. |

So they do - I'd never noticed that! Relay 12 is the second headlamp wash relay, so both 9 and 12 will need to be checked. |

“The headlamp washers are only supposed to operate when the ignition and headlamps are on, and then according to a complex algorithm involving timers and counting windscreen wash operations“.

They are a waste of time without wipers. I just squeegee the windscreen & lights while at it at the service station. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
