I renewed from Continentals which did 39,500 miles to Pirelli Verde all weather, and included an alignment check, and the car instantly became a wandering star. I began to notice every white line, change in camber, and varying road surfaces. Returned to fitter for alignment check and was confirmed as accurate. 4 months later had to have new track rod ends for MOT and again an alignment check by AN Other, and thought this would straighten out the wander, but made no difference. It must be down to the tyres. I've learned to live with it and the 18 month wear seems to be even so far, but I'll not be having Pirellis again whatever the wear performance.

At least you will be able to cut in what ever tread pattern you want  Common sense isn't very common.

General Grabbers for my vote

Ive driven on them exclusively for last 12 years on the 2 Landrovers using AT2, AT and now AT3, I have found them to be hard wearing offering good grip and longevity.

Also run GG GT tyres on my wife's VW Tiguan, just fitted its 3 set and these easily last 40000 miles.

Apart from BF Godridge AT/TA which I have often considered but never bought due to the price difference with the GGs these are the only brand I plan on using in future. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I had been using Michelin Cross Climate's for the past two years and found them excellent but didn't wear as well as I had expected. The inside shoulders had worn significantly after 26k miles but generally a very good tyre especially in the wet. Never used in anger apart from towing a caravan across a grass field or a little beach combing but would definitely go back to them. The spare was a brand new Pirelli Scorpion Zero so decided to buy 3 more and use a cross climate as the spare. The Zero's get a good rating as well so will see how they go with towing but in our climate in NI don't expect harsh Scottish winters

I note that Volvo recommend this Noise Reducing Pirelli Scorpion Zero on the Volvo XC60.

It has B rated Economy, A rated Wet Road Grip, and 69db Noise. Also top end price.

Has anyone tried these and are they worth the money?

Hi,
did you get your tracking/suspension bushes checked when fitting the new set of tyres
or you could be replacing them early again, if all is good they should wear even

 .
my first ever FL2 and I did keep it longer than most other cars!

I know I definitely need to get booked in for a wheel alignment too sharpish, but I'd like to pick the new boots soon too.

Opted for. The Michelin Latitude Cross from Costco in the end. Nice chunky look without too much compromise, and with what looks like twice the tread depth that the Cross Climates came with!
