I had the Pirelli Scorpion Atr's on my old Fl2 and couldn't fault them , I think they maybe discontinued , can't comment on the General At3's . I've got General Grabber Gt's on my present Fl2 and am really impressed.

I've run General Grabber GTs for a year now, and left them on the car over winter (despite having a set of winter tyres and wheels). In all respects I've found them to be as good as the previous Continentals and better for noise and steering feel, and if anything better for ride comfort.

All the Land/ Range Rover vehicle’s used on the Land Rover experience days have factory fitted all season tyres fitted unless you do some serious off roading there is no need for anything more. |

Inclined to agree, Jack. Only "benefits" from the more "agressive" treads seem to be more noise and worse economy. Had enough of that driving military LRs and Bedfords!

I had a Forester for many years and ran that on the Cross Climates - I'm in SE London so obviously don't need to worry about the sort of weather some of the 'up north' members might experience, but really couldn't fault them. In fact I'd seriously consider fitting them in place of the Scorpion Zeros which I believe are the factory fits as I don't seem to get anywhere near the mileage on them |

The wife's Fl2 has Michelin latitude cross on which are a good all round tyre , they've been on the best part of 3 years and still look like new .

Why do Michelin seem to get better mileage out of their tyres? |

At a basic level, a softer rubber compound grips the road well but wears faster than a harder rubber compound which will grip the road less well. The trade off is between grip and wear.

Another good question is “where does your tyre go”?
