Windscreen washers

My left hand washers have stopped skooshing, so I had a look under the bonnet and found that the insulation is held on by what I can only describe as 'one way clips'.

Is it possible to simply unhook these without damaging them in order to get a look at the feed to the nipples?

Judging by the lack of response I've decided that must have been a bit of a no brainer, so the next nanosecond it's not pshing down I'll go outside, lift the bonnet, rip off the insulation and see what's stopping the washers washing. I'll then know if I can re-attach the clips. Thanks for your concern.

Slainthe,

......if you do accidentally damage them, then look on the Duckworths website & simply order some replacements..........then it's good as new again Thumbs Up

Bluemacs,
Did you manage to have a look without damaging the clips?
My drivers side washer packed up a while back, so I took it to the stealers under warranty - the pipe had become detached because according to the stealer ' the additive I was putting in the washer bottle was too think and it blocked the washer jet'!

Hi there,

I don't doubt the dealer response for a minute (ignorant load of simpletons ... well some of them) but this is just plain ridiculous, I have NEVER come across a screenwash additive that was anything other than the viscosity of water, what on earth are they saying, did you add porridge or something!!!

This is an absolutely crap response and deserves to be publicised and derided far and wide. Land Rover should be ashamed to be associated with such a crap response.

And people wonder why the motoring public are so sceptical about dealers ... this one takes the biscuit ... it is a class leading 100% bullshit response. .... Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!
Company cars ... a thing of the past - May 2013.

a bit of a joke response from the dealer there

It could of course have been a frozen jet, and the pipe was dislodged due to the force of de-iced water and most likely a ill fitted pipe Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

No, wasn't during any cold spell, it just gradually got weaker and weaker and then stopped completely. When I lifted the bonnet the insulation around the area of the jet was sodden.
It was actually the second time I had to take it to the stealer (Stratstones Cheltenham) for them to reconnect it.
