I have a Freelander2 2009 , trying to retune my DAB radio to get DAB+ without success. I assume because it’s a 2009 model.
I contacted LR help line for advice on upgrading the radio toDAB+.

I received this reply ‘’As a manufacturer we do not recommend any changes to be actioned alongside a vehicle that will alter it from the original specification i.e how it came out of the factory’’.

Has anyone used one of the DAB adaptors ?

You can upgrade the DAB receiver module to a later one from a Jag XF or Disco 4 or Evoque, there are usually a few to be had on eBay for around £50 to £100 or so, search for part number CPLA-14F720-BP

Edited to add; The later module has a different power connector, 4 pin instead of 2 pin, so you'll need an adaptor -
LR032814, Radio feed wire, to make it work. The other connections are directly transferable.

Can anyone help with the updated connector as above (LR032814l as doesn't seem to be available from any of the usual suppliers.
I've bought a newer dab unit to get dab+ but obviously need the new connector.

A description or picture of the new type connector would be helpful to try making something up.

Just in case anyone else is looking for the adaptor cable for the uprated DAB+ units the Jaguar part number is C2D22599.

LR agent was able to source one of these for me as LR part number is obsolete and unavailable anywhere. Andy
