No, quite the opposite really. The odd thing is the offside is wearing worse than the nearside. Mine seems to be okay. Have you had to change your tyres yet, if so at what mileage?? Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass |

Despite being checked by Kwik S t on two different occassions because I felt that they were illegal, at 31k the rears are now definately down to the limit and a new pair of Wranglers are to be fitted tomorrow.

There seems to be a massive difference in tyre wear between vehicles. I appreciate the fact driving style comes into it, but these cars seem to eat tyres or they last forever - no happy medium - strange Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass |

Take this as gospel or with a pinch of salt - I have been told that tyres need to be 'run in' in the same manner as they used to ask for engines to be. First few hundred, nice and easy, no fast cornering etc. Something to do with how they are made, also they need to be used and not stored otherwise they deteriorate, when in use they'bleed' oil which keeps them supple. Present wranglers have done 21000 and are 3+mm above the pimple. |

My car has Wranglers and at its 15000 mile service last week the tread depths were reported as 7-8mm everywhere! So it must depend on how you drive and on the actual tyre make quite a lot. Freelander 2 TD4 HSE auto Tonga Green/Alpaca |

Managed 39k on my Contis, which pleasantly surprised me. Have now fitted Wranglers and used a local garage who replaced all 4 for £510! |
