I didn't want to like it but I do, still looks very much like the disco and rangie apart from the spare wheel on the rear door. Like the white and black colour. Can't see me having one at any time though. Common sense isn't very common.

I had a good look around one recently. It looked good in the promotional ads but just plain ugly in the flesh. But I would still have one.

Maybe that restricted performance message is to stop him thrashing the engine before it's run in. He goes up to 70 at one point and he does mess around going up and down the gears in sports mode while still maintaining the same road speed and back to Drive. I wouldn't do that in my F2, and that's 12 years old ! |

It only came on after he gave a bit of welly. Not the best thing to do with a brand new motor. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |

Those who have seen it in the flesh, is it really as large as it looks?

The 110 is a fair size, I think 5.1m inc the tyre, makes the D4 look short. Even the 90 is almost the same length as an old 110. It’s wheelbase is longer than the D5.

Coincidentally, not long after my post above, I went out to drop off a parcel (Dynamic bumper parts) and on the way back a silver Defender was coming the opposite way. I must say, to me it didn't seem that big as it passed me, well no more than the old Defender anyway. I must apologise for the poor quality of the screen grabs from my dashcam, due to the sun glare and going under the aquaduct at the time. |
