agreed... I got my 3 NATO ones for basically getting drunk and playing in the snow in Bosnia

but I do feel that Sir Tom is way more deserving of the knighthood than some of the muppets that have been give the title over recent years

My Dad was awarded an MBE this year (years of service on county council) but because of covid cant get down to the palace to have it presented, How is Tom getting his award made official? At work

Now if you didn't get what I meant then my dad was lucky then to get his DFM for sitting in the arse end of a Lancaster doing night raids over Germany or any gongs handed out to his SEVEN brothers all in different theatres of war in WW2.

its ok, knew exactly what you meant so absolutely zero offence taken in any way ref my gongs. I genuinely don't feel I deserved them when compared to others

any WW2 (and other campaigns ) medals gained were hard earned, well deserved and have my ultimate respect. Ive been in the Lancaster at RAF Cosford air museum near where I was born. Really really really not my cup of tea

I totally agree on undeserved knighthoods etc for sports stars, or actors etc. although some of them do a lot for charity and other causes that doesn't always get advertised.

Rog personally I'd give one to anyone to had to stay in Sennybridge

never got lucky enough to stay in Sennybridge, only the woods and barns out on the area
