Lets say you take the car to the garage, most likely there will be a host of errors logged, so first job is clear the codes and drive around for a few days / weeks and see what is really at fault and what is historic errors.

I had a knackerd battery on a car once that charged at 80amps permanently, alternator should drop to about 10amps at earth lead with an inductive amp meter once the charge has built up ,if the battery was flat and it wont take a proper charge it will show about 5 amps due to internal resistance. |

It's 13.6 v on idle and 12.2 v with engine off. From what I can gather this means the alternator is charging the battery on idle and there is adequate charge when resting. According to the huge (and sometimes conflicting) wealth of internet information available, this is perfectly normal. |

I would say that it is the original battery then. When I said there is o way or really telling, I meant it could have been taken from another vehicle at the off road dealership I purchased the car from. So it might be 12 years old or it could be 10 years or even 8 years old. No way of telling for certain. I wonder how much Landrover would charge for a decal battery? Probably ~£1000 ahahahaha |

I'll look into it. Any particular brand that you particularly recommend? |

If your battery is 12.2 volts after 24 hours, replace it.

Any explanation as to why the warning lights came up whilst driving at 70mph after a 250 mile trip?

There are some issues you have mentioned but personally I would remove the easy problems. Any idea why the car is idling at 13.6 volts. Mine is consistently 14.4 volts & so was my neighbour's Honda. 13.6 volts is not a bulk charge. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Is it possible that you have a Battery Management Problem. There is a blue wire that runs from the alternator which has been known to give problems. see post in link from 'Refurb Pete' https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic27454.html?highlight=alternator I keep an eye on my cars voltage from this display in my 12v extender. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Charger-Multi-Fun...B076V9VQPM FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

Top right corner, week 18 year 13. The numbering system varies a lot to confuse everyone.
