Well we seem to be having a bad run Freelander wise lately , I've been using my wife's for my run to work and on my way yesterday I could hear a rattling coming from the front drivers side , on closer investigation the spring had snapped . A pair of new Sachs springs have been ordered and hopefully fitted Friday along with it's service .

Its up to individual garages whether they are open for Mots or not. For any vehicle due an Mot on or after 30th Mar 2020 there is a 6 months extension being given if you are unable to get to a Mot station due to the lockdown. This extension is added about 7 days or so before your mot is due to expire. I have noticed however that some local garages are now offering a collection/delivery service to carry out mots so that you can stay at home whilst the test is being carried out. Mine is due in July so will be looking to get it done some time in June. |

Sad news on the wife's Fl2 , after having a new clutch/flywheel,rear main seal, new front springs and rear discs and pads it started making an absolutely horrendous noise from the gearbox/ptu area , it wouldn't rev and I honestly thought that was it . I managed to get it onto a flat section of road and it seemed to clear , my Landrover mechanic has has a look and it's been plugged in but shows no fault codes , it's still got 4wd capability. Could it be a ptu problem or has it lunched a swirl flap which I've been told it could be . It still runs fine and really pulls well for a TD4 . Any ideas gladly welcome.
