Oh well, I suppose we have to start paying for it sometime. Congestion charge in London being brought back in from Monday, going up from £11.50 to £15 , will now be extended to 10pm and for 7 days (was previously just weekdays to 6pm) so will catch everybody coming home from work Censored

Bit odd that when they are also telling people to try and avoid using public transport.

Our politicians want people back to work.

Our politicians have ask us not to use public transport as there are too many people on there already.

Can't have it both ways! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

We're NHS and shift handover time generally 0630/0700 and 1830/1900 so all the staff working inside the zone who need to drive in will now get caught as no exemption yet been given. This was sprung upon our management at the same time as the rest of the country, no advance warning or consultation.
Oh well, staff will just have to revert to public transport and arrive late - nothing important ongoing after all Rolling with laughter
Or pay £60pw to get there on time

Lot of staff unable to get into work on time for an early shift on a Sunday in particular as no public transport that time of day; similarly can't easily get home before 0700.
Seems a temporary exemption has been granted by TFL for NHS staff, but will still mean paying the charges, claiming it back from the service, and awaiting reimbursement a month later. Alls well if you can afford to pay out potentially £240pm

My daughters partner has been told that he will be back to work soon, they have a 8mth old girl that will have to go to nursery four days a week as she can't come to us according to the government, so that's £200.00 a week they will have to find!!!! Common sense isn't very common.

We've been exempted but have to pay up and reclaim through our payroll system, so could be 2-3 weeks before getting reimbursed. Will hit some of those on tight budgets

Does anybody know

When will JLR showrooms open, and how they will do it?

When will JLR start accepting routine serving?

What changes to the production line did JLR make when they restarted production (socially separating)?

How are warranties effected if you over-run the maintenance period? FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

United Kingdom

my local JLR (Farnells) in Bolton website says it is already open for service and repairs.

Viewing by appointment only obviously. Still selling cars and handing them over cleaned and everything at a safe distance.
Even documents can be signed digitally.

Obviously as I have a DS, it doesn't need repairing and the Services are half a million miles apart. Shocked Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

The Indy I use reopened on Monday, albeit in phases, to allow the staff to work safely 'socially distanced' in the workshop. I gather though that their local main dealer about 5 miles away has been open for several weeks.
They don't have sales there; that's always been by appointment only as their stock of Defenders are in storage at two separate sites
